Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has been nominated for seven BET Hip Hop Awards in 2023.
Burna Boy is now leading the international drive of Nigerian music with his songs, which has earned him numerous honors and allowed him to sell out certain locations.
The nominations for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards were revealed on September 8, 2023. Burna Boy was the surprise artist on the list, with seven nominations, including Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Sitting’ On Top Of The World,’ which he co-wrote with 21 Savage.
The hitmaker was also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, and Hustler of the Year for his 7th album, ‘I Told Them.’
Cardi B and 21 Savage lead the nominations with 12 nominations apiece, followed by Drake with 9 nominations and Burna Boy and DJ Khalid with 7 nominations each.
The 2023 BET Awards will be taped on Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Atlanta, and will air on BET one week later, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
