On September 21, the nominations for this year’s awards were revealed, highlighting the great talent and outstanding achievements to African cinema. The organizers will meet in Accra, Ghana, on October 5 at the Ibis Hotel at Airport City, before to the main event in Nigeria.
This pre-event will give a forum for interaction with film industry stakeholders such as producers, directors, actors, makeup artists, cinematographers, and media representatives, among others.
The return of the AMAA Awards to Ghana offers a celebration of African cinema as well as a dedication to promoting and growing the art of filmmaking across the continent. The event is designed to strengthen links and collaboration within the African film industry, ensuring that African cinema’s heritage remains active and influential.
