The 27th Annual GJA Media Awards Committee Has Been Formed.

The 27th Annual GJA Media Awards Committee has been formed by the National Executive of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

The 34 categories for this year’s media awards will be judged by the nine-member committee, which is led by Betty Appau-Opong, a former director of television at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

The coveted P. A. V. Ansah Journalist of the Year, Best Female Journalist of the Year, Most Promising Journalist of the Year, and Best Student Journalist of the Year were among the honors up for grabs, according to a statement issued by the General Secretary of GJA, Kofi Yeboah.

Other members of the awards committee include Fortune Alimi, executive editor of the Daily Guide Network, George-Ramsey Benamba, chief editor of the Ghana News Agency, Loretta Vanderpuye, regional director of Obonu FM/TV, and Michael Quaye, deputy news editor of the Daily Graphic.

The remaining members are Nana Kofi Acquah, an international photojournalist, Isaac Nuamah Yeboah, the news director of Atinka Media Village, Joana Afua Mensah, the news editor of United Television (UTV), and William A. Asiedu, the head of news at 3FM and co-host of TV3’s Sunrise Morning Show.

On October 29, this year, the Accra International Conference Centre will host the 27th GJA Media Awards ceremony.
