Ghana CEO Awards Honors MTN Ghana and MoMo CEOs.
Selorm Adadevoh, CEO of MTN Ghana, was named CEO of the Year – Telecom at the 2nd Ghana CEO Vision and Awards, which took place in Accra.
Shaibu Haruna, CEO of Mobile Money Limited (MTN MoMo), was also named CEO of the Year – FinTech Service Provider at the same event.
Selorm Adadevoh was given the award because of his work in sustainability, leadership, innovation, and other areas related to telecoms that have helped create jobs and support Ghana’s continued economic growth.
When Patrick Afari, General Manager, Supply Chain Management and General Services, accepted the award on behalf of Selorm, he thanked the organizers for giving the prize. He said the award would move MTN to do more for Ghanaians and the country as a whole.
“We are poised to become a technology company where we commit to creating an enabling platform for players to leverage on”, he said

An award was given to Shaibu Haruna for coming up with new goods and services that keep MTN ahead of the competition in the Fintech space and make life easier for people in Ghana.
MML has won an award at the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards three times now. Eli Hini, who was CEO of MML from 2017 to 2022, won CEO of the Year – Fintech Service Provider at the first event. The award was given to Paapa Osei, who is Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at MML, on behalf of Shaibu Haruna.
The theme of this year’s Ghana CEO Vision & Awards was “The Role of Business Leadership Towards Achieving the SDGS in Ghana.” The goal of the award is to find, honor, and praise a range of the country’s most successful and important CEOs who have stayed relevant and used the power of ideas to change people’s lives and the country as a whole.
