AngloGold Completes The Primary listing of Ordinary Shares.
With a primary listing of its shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and a corporate domicile in the United Kingdom, AngloGold Ashanti is happy to announce that its corporate reorganization has been completed. AngloGold Ashanti Limited’s shareholders accepted the corporate restructuring on August 18, following its initial announcement on May 12, this year.

AngloGold Ashanti CEO Alberto Calderon stated, “The move of our primary listing to the NYSE provides us with improved access to the world’s largest capital market and places us alongside the industry’s highest-valued gold companies.” “We continue to focus on enhancing the performance from our world-class asset base and this marks an important new era for AngloGold Ashanti in strengthening our corporate infrastructure.”

Commencing on September 25, 2023, AngloGold Ashanti plc’s common shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with the ticker symbol AU. AngloGold Ashanti Limited American Depositary Shares (ADSs) trading on the NYSE was suspended on September 22, 2023, at the close of business. Additionally, the AngloGold Ashanti Limited ADS program was discontinued on September 25, 2023.
In South Africa, AngloGold Ashanti is still dedicated to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), A2X Markets (A2X), and Ghana Stock Exchange (GhSE), where it has continued to retain secondary listings. Using the ticker code ANG, AngloGold Ashanti plc’s common shares started trading on the JSE and A2X on September 20, 2023.
