Mr. Drew, a popular Ghanaian musician and dancer, has gently responded to Kuami Eugene’s recent confession that he largely contributed to the song “Case” but was not properly credited.
Kuami Eugene revealed in a recent Facebook live session chat with Naana Donkor Arthur that he wrote the hook and a significant amount of the second verse for “Case.” He claimed to have contributed roughly 80% of the song’s content and voiced dissatisfaction with the lack of acknowledgement.

“Mr. Drew’s song, ‘Case,’ I wrote the hook and some of the second verse,” Kuami Eugene expressed his frustration. I wrote about 80% of that tune. In fact, the hook and the rest of the song were already finished when he arrived to record it. He heard it and responded by singing it back. As a result, I also write for other artists.”
“It’s unfortunate that this is the platform I have to use to send a message to Mr. Drew, urging him to do what he needs to do because the song is performing exceptionally well,” he stated. That hook is unquestionably fantastic. Even if I had performed it solo, it would have been a hit because I wrote it with the same fire and emotion that I did ‘Wish Me Well.’ He’s like a brother to me, and I believe we should work together to recognize and honor each other’s accomplishments in the profession so that we can all advance individually.”

Kuami Eugene also voiced dissatisfaction with the song’s communication, noting, “All I heard from him was something like, ‘Bro, the song, should we drop it?'” This occurred while I was in America, and I was sleeping due to the time change.
He hadn’t notified my manager or anyone else when I awoke. Later, the second person present during the recording of the song texted me to let me know that Drew had released the song. I texted Drew to inquire, and he ignored my message.”
Mr. Drew responded to Kuami Eugene’s discoveries with a mysterious comment on Twitter that simply wrote, “Come again.” This intriguing message has spawned a plethora of interpretations and conversations among fans and followers, giving a sense of levity to the situation.
