Kwame Ametepee Tsikata (born November 20, 1982), better known as M.anifest, is a Ghanaian singer, rapper, and record producer.

At the 2017 Ghana Music Awards, he won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop Song of the Year. He has collaborated with Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen, and Erykah Badu, and he appears on five tracks on the album Rocket Juice and The Moon. He is the grandson of J.H. Kwabena Nketia, one of Africa’s best ethnomusicologists and composers. In 2012, The Strand on BBC Radio named him one of four performers to watch in 2012.[1] M.anifest’s track “Someway bi” took third place in the International Songwriters Competition (ISC) in 2015.

M.anifest was named “the continent’s foremost rapper” by The Guardian the same year. M.anifest presently splits his time between Madina, Ghana, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Tsatsu Tsikata, a Ghanaian lawyer and professor, and Rev. Dr. Priscilla Naana Nketia, a lawyer and preacher, are his parents. Joseph Hanson Kwabena Nketia, his maternal grandpa, was a composer, educator, and ethnomusicologist. M.anifest moved to the United States in 2001 to attend Macalester College in Minneapolis-St. Paul, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 2005.

M.anifest attended SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College in Tema for high school. He was Amet Tsikata, his school’s entertainment prefect. He has had artist residencies and given lectures at St. Lawrence University and the University of Ghana, as well as lectured to courses at Hamline University, Macalester College (his alma mater), Penumbra Theater’s Summer Arts Institute, and Ashesi University.
