Barbara Naa Nyarko popularly known, as OV (Original Version) a Ghanaian multitalented young and versatile artist with a blend of Reggae, Dancehall & Afropop is out with yet another mind-blowing track she entitles “Aluta”.
OV is one of Ghana’s finest musicians, guitarists, and dancers. The musician has a wonderful personality, a magnificent voice, and an appealing musical style.
The multi-talented performer is well known for her participation in MTN Hitmaker season 7 edition in 2018. She received recognition for her exceptional musical and dance abilities. Most of her followers were excited and ecstatic to see how the celebrity would take the country to the next level, and she did not disappoint. As a result of being the second female after Freda Rhymes to win the MTN Hitmaker, her popularity grew in and out of the country.
Okailey was born on December 4, 1998. The musician and dancer attended Ghana Senior High School in Koforidua in the Eastern Region. Because of her exceptional dance abilities, she was called “skelebarbs” by her classmates and the general public in high school. She has received multiple certificates for being the greatest dancer in high school. She wanted to pursue a career as a musician immediately after graduating from high school.
Her job path became evident to her when she was quite young. OV has longed to play the guitar since he was a toddler. She studied acoustic guitar for roughly two years after graduating from high school. Prior to writing her own songs, she covered a few songs by well-known musicians such as Kuami Eugene’s Angela.
OV has featured top notch artiste like Stonebwoy on her song called “Want Me”, Zaddy featuring Kelvyn Boy, Shush, Perfect Vibe, and her previous single, YOLO which is making waves in Ghana.
