The Guinness World Records organization has responded to Chef Faila’s cook-a-thon attempt. The Ghanaian chef engaged on a 10-day cook-a-thon from January 1st to January 10th, 2024. Chef Faila Abdul Razak concluded her cook-a-thon today, Wednesday 10th January, 2024 in a remarkable display of unrelenting resilience, thanks to Ghanaians’ support.
Chef Faila cooked uninterrupted for 227 hours at the City Hotel in Tamale, where thousands of Ghanaians, celebrities, and dignitaries gathered to support her attempt.

After finishing her cook-a-thon, Chef Faila Abdul Razak received swift feedback from Guinness World Records.
This comes after Ghanaian TV presenter Olele Salvador posted Chef Faila’s video declaring the end of her cook-a-thon on X formerly Twitter. Guinness World Records welcomed her attempt on social media.
The official X account of the GWR tweeted, “We look forward to reviewing her evidence!” However, it is uncertain when the group will deliver a ruling on Chef Faila’s endeavor.

Failiatu’s cook-a-thon was a wonderful event full with heartwarming moments that demonstrated the power of community, support, and the joy of working together for a worthwhile cause.
One of the most touching moments was when Afua Asantewaaa, who had also participated in the sing-a-thon, stepped up to lend her support. Her presence increased morale while also demonstrating communal solidarity.
